Trusting God In The New Year

“Blessed is the man whose strength is in You,Whose heart is set on pilgrimage.”

The new year begins with a journey, not a guarantee. Psalm 84 reveals that true blessing is not found in arrival, but in trust while moving. Strength is not self-generated, it is drawn from God. Those who trust Him are sustained even when the path leads through valleys. Trust positions the heart to receive renewal, direction, and protection.

Enter this year with your heart fixed on God’s presence. Do not wait for clarity before obedience. Walk forward trusting that God is both light and shield, guiding your steps and guarding your life. Lead your year by trust, not by fear or control.

In the name of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Lord God, I place my trust fully in You as I enter this new year. Let my strength come from You alone. Set my heart firmly on the journey You have ordained, even when the path is unfamiliar. When I pass through valleys, turn them into springs of renewal. Be my Sun to give me light and direction, and my Shield to guard my life, my calling, and my household. I choose trust over fear, obedience over control, and Your presence over all else. Establish my steps and cause me to move from strength to strength as I dwell in You.
