Trusting God in the Process

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."

Proverbs 3:5-6

God’s Process Has a Purpose

Life doesn’t always make sense, but God’s delays are not His denials. What looks like a setback is often a setup for something greater. He sees the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10), and everything He allows has a purpose.

  • Ecclesiastes 3:11 - “He has made everything beautiful in its time.”

Lessons from Biblical Examples

  • Joseph waited years, enduring betrayal and prison, before ruling Egypt (Genesis 37241).
  • David was anointed king but had to wait and face Goliath, rejection, and wilderness before sitting on the throne (1 Samuel 16 and 2 Samuel 5).
  • Abraham trusted God's promise despite not knowing where he was going (Genesis 12:1).

Their stories teach us that waiting seasons are training seasons.

How to Trust God in the Process

Surrender Your Plans

Let go of control and allow God to lead.

  • “Be still, and know that I am God.” - Psalm 46:10

Stay Rooted in the Word

His promises will sustain you when things seem unclear.

  • “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”:- Psalm 119:105

Keep Praying and Believing

Prayer keeps your faith alive and your heart at peace.

  • “Do not be anxious about anything, but… present your requests to God.” - Philippians 4:6-7

Walk by Faith, Not by Sight

Even when you don’t see results, trust God’s process.

  • “For we live by faith, not by sight.” - 2 Corinthians 5:7

Encouragement

If you feel delayed or overlooked, remember:

  • Romans 8:28 - “God works all things together for the good of those who love Him.”
  • Galatians 6:9“At the proper time you will reap a harvest if you do not give up.”

Your waiting is not wasted — God is building your faith, shaping your character, and preparing you for what He has promised.

Closing Prayer

In the name of God the Father God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Heavenly Father, I surrender my plans to You. Help me to trust Your timing and lean on Your understanding, not my own. Strengthen my faith when the road feels long, and remind me that You are working all things for my good. In Jesus’ name,

In the name of God the Father God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, Amen.
